Welcome to Calvary Ministries (CAPRO)
Introduction

Calvary Ministries (CAPRO)  is a non-denominational global Christian missionary movement of African origin, taking the gospel to the remaining unevangelised parts of the world with a particular focus On the unreached peoples of Africa and the world.

Our passion is to make Christ known where He is yet to be known.

CAPRO Congress 2012

About CAPRO Congress
CAPRO Congress is the highest decision making body of Calvary Ministries, CAPRO and the engine that drives the ministry of Calvary Ministries CAPRO across uncharted territories of global evangelization. The history of the CAPRO Congress goes back to when the executive council decided to constitute our international office administration to more efficiently evaluate, manage and consolidate our advance. As stated in the guiding principles of CAPRO (GPC), the CAPRO Congress meets every four years to have spiritual fellowship, elect apex International and National leaders for a term of four years, receive reports, review progress and draw out strategies to advance our efforts towards establishing viable churches among the remaining unreached people groups of our world.

CAPRO Congress 2012
Another Congress year is here again. Congress 2012 will gather over 300 CAPRO leaders including departmental heads, Unit heads and Chapter leaders from 34 countries of operation in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America over a period of 10 days, starting from August 25 and ending by September 4. The last three days will host a three day Seminar on Church Planting.

Training Program

Recently, our team hosted a Church Planting Training program for workers in both North and South S. There were a total of 27 participants, twenty of whom were our workers. There were five resource persons, two of whom were from the Horn of Africa Mission of NGI. There was a segment on church planting movement. Among other things, the aim was to train church planters in the skills of evangelizing Islamic people groups and empower them to plant indigenous, self-governing and self-propagating churches. Evaluation, after the course showed that the participants understood the goals of the course and that they were achieved. The missionaries made commitments to apply what they had learnt in their lives and ministries.
Project Stalled

CAPRO is blessed with a piece of land in Sangotedo, Lagos state, and wishes to develop it into a Mission Resource and Conference Centre. It is also expected to house our staff and serve as a holiday resort for our missionaries in foreign countries. However, efforts to obtain the legal documents from the Lagos State Government in the past six years have met with frustration. This has stalled development efforts on the land. Pray that the Lord will remove every hindrance to our obtaining the C of O from the State Government.
MKs Challenge Liberian Youths

Following in the steps of their parents, 6 missionary children, during their recent vacation, participated and ministered at the Youth Conference organized by CAPRO Liberia. During their time in the country, the children were involved in Beach evangelism and Radio broadcast. They also visited an Orphanage and made presentations at the Youth Conference. The lives of the Liberian youths were impacted.

CAPRO WOMEN LEADERS RETREAT

About 100 women leaders from 30 countries where CAPRO is working attended the five -day leaders retreat in August 2011 in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Retreat which was first of its kind in CAPRO for women was aimed at building leadership capacity, enabling CAPRO women leaders to understand and be able to analyze CAPRO's policy, objectives and strategy. It was also to enhance their ability to plan and manage their homes in the mission field in view of the necessity for growth in the ministry.

SOM BOTSANA! ... It is finally DONE!!
The purchase of Calvary Ministries School of Missions Buildings in Molepolole, Botswana has finally been completed to the praise and honour of God. Thanks to all our partners and friends that earnestly prayed, provided finances, technical and moral support during the two year period. Our Target was to raise US$300,000.00which was the purchase price for the 12 buildings, but to the glory of God we exceeded that target. PRAISE THE LORD! ...

Religious Crisis
The frenzy of religious crisis that hit Northern Nigeria in the last couple years is not strange. However, the strange thing is the intensity and the style of operation it has taken. As we take a retrospective view of the history of religious crisis in Nigeria, the church seem to have arrived at a stage where we need to step up our activities to truly be agents of peace and not war. We need a new approach as we strategically see the Muslims as our neighbours and not our enemies. Remember that Paul reminded us that our enemy is not “flesh and blood” but “principalities and powers”. The whole world is watching us as Christians. We need to step up strategic intercession for the peoples of the world and our immediate neighbours are our first test case. The early church never found it easier. May God give us understanding.
